Worship Meets the Journey
Hijrah Walk and Umrah: Combining Worship, Reflection and the Journey of Hijrah
The Hijrah Walk and Umrah experience brings together two deeply meaningful aspects of Islamic spirituality: worship in the sacred city of Makkah and reflection on the historic migration of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to Madinah. The journey begins with Umrah and time for prayer and spiritual preparation before participants embark on a symbolic Hijrah experience through the Arabian desert. This combination allows participants to move beyond ordinary travel and spend meaningful time in worship, reflection, learning, and remembrance.
What makes the experience distinctive is the way Umrah and the Hijrah Walk connect the beginning and end of the journey. Participants spend three nights in Makkah before experiencing the desert journey and eventually completing the experience in Madinah with prayers at Masjid an-Nabawi. Along the way, guided walking, spiritual mentorship, Tazkiyah sessions, Seerah insights, group activities, and daily reflections create opportunities to reconnect with faith and reflect on the sacrifices, resilience, and devotion associated with the Hijrah. The Hijrah Walk and Umrah experience brings together two deeply meaningful aspects of Islamic spirituality: worship in the sacred city of Makkah and reflection on the historic migration of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to Madinah.
